You are cordially invited to the
"JAPAN TOUR 2026-2029", an exhibition by Hervé Saint Hélier,
For a limited time, before embarking upon an expansive 3 year project, Saint Hélier's photographic collection will be made exclusively available, together with rare unseen artworks, to be viewed at his personal studio residency at Chatêau de Millemont, for a special sale in support of his upcoming photographic tour, journeying through Japan from 2026 to 2029.
Originating from an auspicious, pivotal single photograph taken in 1999, (to be unveiled), which first inspired his vision to one day create a body of work journeying through the whole of Japan: a country and culture to which he has always felt a force of affinity both spiritually and aesthetically, this exhibition will enable the much anticipated realisation of this dream, 30 years later.
We are thrilled to welcome you to Chateau de Millemont for this unique exposition in support of the next exciting photographic venture of Saint Hélier’s career:

ARTIST INFO
HERVE SAINT HELIER started his career as a photo journalist in 1989, distributed by international agencies SYGMA and SIPA PRESS. Travelling the world he gradually moved away from a journalistic approach to a distinctive, fine art style uniquely his own, grounded in the meticulous mastery of analogue photography whilst pushing the boundaries of technique. He paints with light on a celluloid canvas.
Saint Hélier's boundless curiosity has led him throughout continents, from the remote lands of Mongolia, Patagonia, Ethiopia, to Asia, Europe and the United States, illuminating us in a chromatic journey, ephemeral yet hauntingly timeless. Always in search of the Harmonious.
His work is included in many private collections and Art foundations internationally and he has been represented by Marlborough Gallery, New York, since 2008.
